OX2 is committed to delivering long-term benefits to the communities in which our projects are located. We look forward to collaborating with the community and the Shire of Dandaragan to design a benefit program that drives positive economic and social outcomes while providing lasting value.

The Project is expected to deliver affordable, clean and reliable electricity for Western Australia while offering economic, social and environmental benefits, including:

Powering approximately 763,000 WA homes with clean energy.
Creating procurement and employment opportunities during construction and operations.
A community benefit program which will be developed in consultation with the community.
Reducing, on average, 3-4 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
Supporting Australia's targets of 82% renewable energy by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050.

Scholarships

OX2 will explore opportunities to partner with regional TAFEs and Universities associated with our projects under development. The goal of this partnership is to establish scholarships that build the skills and knowledge needed for the renewables industry.

These scholarships could support a broad range of study options, including university degrees, vocational training, and short courses.

Student Technology Access Program

OX2 has established a Student Technology Access Program to repurpose company laptops no longer in use. These devices will be refurbished and provided to students at local schools, helping bridge the digital divide for those who may not otherwise have access to essential technology.

Social Impact Assessment
