As part of the development process for Dinner Hill Wind Farm and Harvest BESS, OX2 has engaged Umwelt to prepare a Social Impact Assessment (SIA). This assessment will help us understand community values, potential impacts, benefits, and perceptions about the project.

Project Benefits

The Dinner Hill Wind Farm Project is expected to deliver affordable, clean, and reliable electricity for Western Australia while offering significant economic, social, and environmental benefits, including:

• Powering approximately 763,000 WA homes with clean energy.
• Creating procurement and employment opportunities during construction and operations.
• A community benefit program which will be developed in consultation with the community.
• Reducing, on average, 3-4 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
• Supporting Australia's targets of 82% renewable energy by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050.
• Storing energy in BESS for dispatch when needed most, improving grid stability and security.
• Enabling greater integration of renewable energy into the grid, helping reduce market volatility.
